A search firm contacted you through dogo
Updated 24 September 2026. The French version is the reference.
What dogo is
dogo is a tool, published by MENTAT (69 rue de Chabrol, 75010 Paris, France, RCS Paris 107 484 362), that executive-search firms use to identify people who fit a role and prepare a first approach.
Who is responsible for your data
The firm running the search. It decides the search, the criteria and what is done with your information: it is the controller. Its name is in the message you received.
MENTAT processes that information on the firm’s behalf and on its instructions (processor). Each firm has its own workspace: your information is not shared with other firms, and never sold.
What information
Public professional information: name, title, company, career, education, LinkedIn profile, and what public pages say about your professional activity (company sites, press, talks).
The assessment of your background against the search’s criteria, with the sources it rests on, and the approach messages.
If the firm asks for them, your professional contact details.
Where it came from
Public sources found by web search (company sites, press, public profiles), and LinkedIn as the firm’s consultant sees it, from their own account.
Why
So the firm can run an executive search and offer you an opportunity that fits your background. The legal basis is the firm’s legitimate interest in identifying candidates for the searches its clients entrust to it.
No decision about you is made automatically: dogo suggests, the consultant decides whether to contact you.
For how long
As long as the firm keeps it for its searches. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Your rights
You can object to this processing, ask not to be contacted again, and access, correct or delete your information. Ask the firm that contacted you, or write to us at hello@dogoapp.ai: we pass your request to the firm and remove your information from its workspace. We answer within a month.
You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
